About Me

With over 22 years and 60,000 hours of hands-on experience as an ER physician, Dr. James Kojian knows the ups and downs of emergency room care and is familiar with the most common reasons for E.R. visits by worried patients. The highly qualified doctor has been medical director and co-director of several California emergency rooms since 1991, and recently founded a groundbreaking new telemedicine service drtohelp.com, which offers secure 24/7 access to a board-certified emergency room doctor. Drtohelp.com is a convenient service for those who want a prescription refilled but cannot afford the time to visit their doctor in person, or may need to see a doctor for condition but are challenged because they live in rural areas, may be traveling or living abroad and need access to an English-speaking, American-trained MD, or cannot always leave their home or office.

After graduating medical school at the University of Illinois, Dr. Kojian did his internship/residence at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, and went on to specialize in Emergency Medicine which he is well suited for because of his natural interest in the area, energetic personality, people skills and ability to work under pressure. He became Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine in 1999 by A.A.P.S. and is a member of the American College of Emergency Medicine.

In the decade after graduating from medical school, Dr. Kojian also began pursuing the science of preventing life threatening ailments like heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes, rather than providing treatment after the event occurs. He recognized the need for prevention and longevity medicine. He has focused on optimizing health and closely follows research on anti-aging health and medicine, including developments in stem cell therapy, which he believes will become more accepted and common in the U.S. in the near future. He is a member of the Age Management Medicine Group and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine since 1998.
